Job Description

Static Plumber  – Port of Dover £35k Plus Van.

My client are a Mechanical engineering company based in Kent, who have recently won the contract to provide Mechanical and electrical services to the Port of Dover.

This is a prestigious site that is 3 miles long and includes, luxury apartments, commercial office space and factories.

We require a Plumber at our site Port of Dover (POD) although it is a static site they will get a van as they will be required to travel around the 200+ buildings on the site.

Here are the below details for the role-

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures. ( Drainage, Unvented, Sanitary etc)
• Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
• Cutting, Solvent welding, Mapp Press and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code of practice and regulation compliance.
• Handling customer queries and responding to call outs.
• Strong Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• Preparing cost estimates with suppliers ready for Quoting
• 2+ years of experience as a Plumber.
• Good working knowledge of water supplies and regulations, knowledge of Heating systems would be beneficial but not essential.
• Proficiency in reading on site schematics and using various plumbing tools.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and patience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

•             Will live within a 30-mile radius of the site.

•             NVQ/City and guilds in Plumbing

•             5 years + experience in the industry

PACKAGE

•             £35,000.00

•             Van & Fuel Card included.

•             25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

•             Monday to Friday 8 till 5pm

•             Call out rota 1in 6 – 100 pound standby
