Stores Person
Pertemps Crewe are proud to be representing one of our well-established clients in Congleton are currently pursuing a stores person who has a background in engineering.

Package on offer for this stores person role,

• Salary of £24,000 – £27,000 P/A DOE
• Working days/hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 16:30
• Competitive wage with good structure for advancement

Role overview for the stores person role,

• Reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Lifting and shifting equipment daily
• Identify non-conforming material, recognise any problems and report to appropriate staff/ departments
• Checking and filing incoming paperwork against shipments
• Ensuring correct storage procedures are adhered to
• Maintaining security and integrity of stores
• Control and maintenance of accurate stock levels
• Accurate data entry to stores database
• Accurate storage of material certification received
• Online booking of next-day couriers and preparations of items for shipment globally
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Driving a large van (mainly locally) for collections and deliveries
• Issuing materials/ stock to jobs

Required Experience/ Personal Attributes for this stores person role,

• Reliable and reasonable manner
• Forklift license (FLT)
• Communication skills to a good manner
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Capable of working under pressure
• Ability to receive and follow instructions accurately with a good attention to detail
• Flexible approach to working hours and locations
• Overhead crane operator’s certificate (desirable) training available
• First aid certificate (desirable)
• Previous experience working within an engineering workshop
• Good standard of literacy, numeracy and IT (GCSE grade C or higher in maths, English and IT or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
