Production/Sewing Support Job in Los Angeles
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to department leader.
Must be able to perform basic construction of clothing sewing.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety standards.
Able to perform, among others, the following tasks: packaging, gluing, gluing, stamping, cutting and all bench operations and inspections.
Know the basic functions of the sewing machine (Juki, single needle) to be able to perform all the tasks required by each machine.
Accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine setup.
Complete all daily documentation completely, accurately, truthfully and in a timely manner for the planner.
Keep your inventory organized throughout the day.
Sweep, mop and complete the daily hygiene checklist.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
CLASSIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Must possess basic garment sewing construction skills.
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Candidates are expected to learn all responsibilities within an appropriate time frame.
Must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Eager to take on responsibilities with a sense of personal responsibility.
Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
Perform work in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws or regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must be able to carry and/or lift up to 25 pounds if necessary.
BENEFITS/PAY RANGE
US$18.00 – US$19.00 / Per hour
Time: (5:30 am – 2:00 pm)
