Urban Air Is Hiring a Mechanic Daytona Beach, Florida

This role will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of attractions. The Mechanic will help facilitate the repair and maintenance of attractions and any associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Perform track and kart repairs and performance checks
Maintain kart performance
Repair equipment, troubleshoot problems, and maintain attraction(s) in top operating condition
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and parts inventory

Responsible for maintaining weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment and ensuring schedules are met
Responsible for maintaining the desktop and back-end in a clean and orderly manner
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure all employees follow all safety rules
Maintain supply of tools and machines
Ensure the kart track, kart shop and track areas remain clean and safe

Assist the team with track operations
Perform facility cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Read and interpret diagnostic manuals
Accept other maintenance tasks that include, but are not limited to, building maintenance and helping with general maintenance of other attractions
Other duties as assigned

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); technical training in automobile mechanics or six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Weekends are unmissable!

Experience in field mechanical repairs on a kart, golf kart or motorcycle preferred
Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and repairs
Experience using a multimeter to check continuity – checks fuses and batteries
Ability to read and understand technical manuals

Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
Move around the facility and stand for long periods of time (more than 2/3 of the time)
Standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above the shoulder, pushing and pulling

Requires ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 300 pounds. (over 70 pounds with the help of a cart)
Ability to use personal protective equipment
While performing the duties of this job, the Mechanic is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, listen, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. , drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.).
